Film technology company, Arnold & Richter Cine Technik (ARRI), celebrated its 100th anniversary on 15th September 2017 at Hotel Sahara Star, Mumbai. One aspect that has become increasingly important over the last few years is education. The industry is changing rapidly. It has seen the transition from analog to digital and is also facing trends and new technologies like e.g.3D, 4K or HDR. Last year, we founded the ARRI Academy and offered trainings and courses globally to share this knowledge. The response to this was very positive and we certainly want to support the Indian industry, too.”
A team from ARRI shot over 250 video interviews over a period of one and a half years with filmmakers and other industry professionals around the globe. In this series, renowned filmmakers such as Ang Lee, Francis Ford Coppola, Judith Kaufmann, Wim Wenders, and Tom Tykwer spoke how the brand’s technology changed their artistic work. It also gave an insight into ARRI’s history and the people also shared anecdotes about working with the products.
